Look Up While Looking Up

Hello Blogger,

Things are about to get a bit more busy than ever before. Don't get me wrong, PLAY characters will definitely be done, but before Halloween I'm not too confident of. They will be done though. And of course, you'll always be updated on the edits, progression and other news.

So to update the Halloween Evil PLAY, here's what we have so far...

The Panda is giving me a bit of issues with he eyebrow wrinkles and defining the teeth. But I will fix them and have them ready and up on the shop soon.

OTHER NEWS

I had an interview a few days ago. I was called in from Walmart, to which I've been applying to for over a year and a half or so since moving here to Florida. Excited, I readied myself for the interview thinking it was going to be extremely tough and awkward-silence-ness. I waited where I was supposed to and to my surprise I see a familiar face. Mr. Scott, whom I've been bothering about a position in the past, came up and interviewed me the first day. He asked me to come back for my second interview. 

That's where we had a bit of a dilemma. They couldn't find my name nor the job post about it. So Mr. Scott came in and cleared things up. Luckily he was there for it. I finished the drug test and waiting for a call from Walmart to go to orientation and eventually training. I'm in the bakery section. Mmmm...Food.


I also bought Pretzel M&Ms. Mmm...Pretzel M&Ms. 

I still plan on doing the volunteer work at Watson Clinic. I've become somewhat close to the employees there and I enjoy my time there. Gets me out of the house.

My brother, whom you all know as Ester, is working on Decease. Last night he decided he wanted to use a different image for the dead man. And the 'Dead Man' model was my friend Mark Gines from my class.


The statistics on the FaceBook Like Page is going well, but lately we've been dropping. If you haven't already, please go and 'Like' our page and show your support to our cause.

I've had a meeting with Ester on Skype to talk about our direction in our designs. As you know Hart Designs has both twisted and cute qualities. But what are we trying to say to the audience? 

Well, being the founder of Hart Designs (The cute/twisted clothing design one, not the other ones you might find on FaceBook), I took the time to go more in depth to it.

What does Hart Designs want to do with their images?   

I want us to hit the audience fast and hard with our graphics. Something people would look at and say "How cute!" or "How cool!" or even "How Sick!" and not even notice the message without thinking. I want to give the ability to think and take risks back to the human race with my images. I want to say that Art is Powerful and it shouldn't be taken away as we grow older. We see art everywhere, it's our defining qualities in our cultures. 

I want to say "Art is Power" to my audience. But the messages will be different but that will be the general thought. 

For example, PLAY. It's cute but ever thought what does it really mean? PLAY is a piece that represents bonds with people. Bonds we share with friends, close friends, best friends, and family. Take, for instance, the characters Fayt and Ester. You all, who've been following me for some time, know that he and I are brothers but we're not from the same family. Hence why we're not the same breed of animal in the piece. You see Fayt poking Ester, and it causes Ester's eye to fall out from the seams. All of that has significant meaning in the piece. The instrument used to poke Ester's eye, the stick, is the symbolism for our comments, words and actions we take that may harm our friends or family. But the nonchalant reaction of Ester signifies that as people with close and strong enough bonds none of that silliness can bother us. The piece all together is a introduction to our Designs, and together PLAY means that no matter how much harm is inflicted to each other our bonds will always remain strong. 

And all that is said vaguely with an image that's only going to be depicted as cute at first glance. Eventually, I want people to become curious of what our message is and search us up. Find my blog, or deviant art or even our Hart Designs Like page and find our what it all means.

Art is indeed powerful. Don't waste it.

Are You Scared? You Should be.

Are you scared? You should be. Because the PLAY characters have gone Demonic!
You heard correctly. The cute, plushie character from the series have gone evil and are going to reveal their dark sides.

The mischievous, playful Fayt has become a ravenously rabid cat from Hell.
The lazy, easy-going Ester has become the world's most dangerous unstoppable powerhouse.

And now joining them is Marl, the Raccoon.



So, About Marl...

Marl is a Raccoon who's personality includes unpredictable and reckless. Don't be fooled by the cute mask, he's missing an eye and an arm for a reason. Marl is a good friend of Fayt and Ester's though they're not always seen together. But when they are they create such a stir in the atmosphere that people would want to throw more than just old boots at them (Or is that just cats?). 

Marl, portrayed in this blog, is in his PLAY form. Meaning he's pretty much a plushie like Fayt and Ester. You'll see on Marl that he is a bit ragged and beat up, and like I said before -missing parts. He's made in the style for the Forget Me Not piece, but I have decided Halloween is more important and it's time to get our devilishly good looks going. So, enjoy this image of Marl before he turns into one of the demons!

HALLOWEEN with HART DESIGNS

Yes, it's almost Halloween. We love Halloween. Well, I do. Ester likes the winter holidays. Halloween means scaring kids, candy, horror movies galore and of course...scaring kids. (Not Scary Kids Scaring Kids, it's just scaring kids...while listening to Scary Kids Scaring Kids...)

In celebration of All Hallows Eve, I am working on the Halloween edition of the three PLAY characters. I would love to include all the characters I have in mind for the PLAY series but I just don't have the time. 

For Fayt, he's always been a little demon and has been called as such multiple times due to his curiosity gone misunderstood for mischief behaviour. The story (that I'm now making up as I go) of how Evil Fayt came to be goes like this:

Once upon...some time ago, Mary and Dante had a litter. 

All has white except for one critter.

One named Angel, be the oldest of the bunch.

Next was wee, little Ester looking back with his back all hunched.

Last was tiny Fayt, so small in size.

To compensate his curiosity arise.

Stumbling upon an evil oak tree,

the curious kitten heard a wicked plea.

Little Fayt wanted to play,

so he searched for the voice and learn a new face.

He found the face embedded in the tree,

but the evil oak refuses to let Fayt go for free.

It cursed him, amplifying a side he did not know he had,

for when it was given he hadn't noticed it to be too bad.

But on All Hallow's Eve, when the night is just right

Fayt will transform evil and tear you on sight.

So remember on Halloween night,

ignore the cat's weep 

for if you don't you'll sleep in a hole six feet deep. 

Now, comes the next in the story.

For it is far from finished for this to be gory. 

I plan on every Halloween a new character,

At least one to join the evil forever.

That is until the sun rises,

then evil be gone until Halloween once again compromises.

Here's the next story, that may make you cringe.

Mary and Dante had a full litter,

but not all were kittens in the box of critters.

Ester, especially, was not of this bunch.
For he was thick, and back was too hunched.

He was a panda, not a cat or mole.

He was immobile, but was the friendliest soul.

One night, they left him alone.

Because little Ester was asleep while eating an ice cream cone.

Something must have scared him, for he jumped

and landed in a pile of green, slimy, gunk. 

He struggles to climb but it was too high

he was stuck but he had to be sly.

He was not Fayt, who's cleverness shines

but he was strong, though only from time to time.

Ester tackles the case filled with goo,

without knowing it changes him too.

By the time he got out, he noticed the box so small

he became large and buff, not skinny and tall. 

His rage seeped and his smile grew,

he was no longer the adorable panda we once knew.

Ester went out and caused havoc under the moonlight,

but it only happens on Halloween night.

When the sun rose to start the new day,

Ester found himself home with his brother, Fayt wanting to play.

The last for this year is not of this family,

but he is a friend of the brothers so let's read.

This story is about a raccoon,

dead on the street starved for food.

A buzzard came to peck at his meat,

but there was none but bones even when pecked deep.

Marl was dead drained of all life,

that is until a magic crow came by.

It brought back Marl from the dead

with one catch instead.

"Reap me souls and your debt be paid,

but if you shirk your duties your's will be stained."
Ungrateful for the threat from the crow,

Marl shirked the duties he was told not to do so.

The crow wandered back, looking for its souls,

Marl told him "No."
Marl was then cursed and left to die.

Except his life can never leave his side.

No matter the pain, the loss or fatal blow
Marl will live and feel the pain ten thousand times worse.

And on Halloween he lets his insanity go,

all just to release the pent up anger in his soul.

He will feast on all that he can lay his hands on.

Even living flesh will be bone before long.

And that my friend's are this year's PLAY Characters Story

I don't have an image for Ester like I do for Fayt, nor do I have a Halloween Marl yet. But soon, they will be up.

Awesome People is a segment of my blog that includes artists, musicians, and writers that I really enjoy. For the last few months, I've had a two people on here and they're great at what they do. This will be updated as I find people who are friendly, do very awesome work and can explain to me what it is about. 

The Poet, Jennifer Olston 
     A bit about her:
 Jennifer Olston was one of my first blog followers and I've visited her page from time to time to check her newest updates. Her poems are very heartfelt and I believe any one can relate with her. Her poetry is very vivid in terms of vocabulary and imagination. She's a very nice lady and deserves more views and comments. Give her a look, click her name above this bio.


The Designer, Lucas Parolin
     A bit about him:
 Lucas Parolin was discovered in by in Deviant Art. His paintings, digital art and other works are extremely well done and I'm just amazed how he does it all. He was AE (Artist Essence) first interview. For those of you who don't know what that is, it's a upcoming artist website that my brother, Ester Hart, is working on. It's a very long process to juggle with school and work but it'll be up eventually. Now, Mister Parolin is featured because he is by far one of the greatest influential designers I've met. He's not a native english speaker, but his english is still understandable and interviewing him was a delight. He's a very inspired artist and a very motivated designer. He's done work for Kickstarter and some other jobs. Check out his work by clicking his name above this bio.

 The Musician, Michael Parrish
     A bit about him: 
Michael Parrish is a very good "master of the instruments" musician. He plays it all: Bass, Guitar, Percussion, Vocals (that counts right?). I forget how we met, but it was on YouTube. He's very interactive with his followers and fans, which I always like about people like that. Like ChaoticMonki, he speaks and interacts with his fans and remains humble. Anyway, Michael is a very, very talented musician. He makes up his own songs and records it all...AT HOME. He has an Album out now, which I think is self-titled. He even honored me by listening and commenting on my...aweful stuff. He's a unique classic-hard rocker and deserves more subscribers and followers. I don't know why I didn't add him here earlier. The Poet, Codename: Cressy
      A bit about her:
Due to the author wishes, I will not release her real name. However, Cressy (is what I call her) is a young poet who enjoys putting her thoughts, emotions and life into words on paper. She has some of the most beautiful poems that I've found myself to be reminded of songs by the Beatles. One to boot is called Wandering the Universe, which ultimately reminds me of Across the Universe (Which both are pretty awesome: The song and the movie). She deserves some comments, reads and views. 

The Photographer, Ellie Freeman
       A bit about her:  
Ellie is a gal who I had the opportunity to meet a very long time ago. She's a real easy person to get along with and one of the nicer gals out there. She does some really amazing photography and houses a group page for her photography. Give her a look, a like and a fave cause her work is captivating.

Other Updates

Sin7, Aiden's Story and Death Petal will be taking a short break. This month is real busy still, and I need time to finish them, but the new chapter will be up soon. Booksie has been slow for me whatsoever, so I'm not too worried about anyone really missing my stories. There are only a few people who I can say for sure that actually read it. So, yeah.

If you've seen our more recent post on our FaceBook page, our first costumer Vanessa, has ordered and received her PLAY shirt. She hasn't tried it on yet, but I have a good feeling about it!


Music wise, I've created a new song called Murder Me, and I may be posting it on YouTube soon. Maybe. I'm still iffy about how it sounds but I do enjoy the song, and that's all that matters.
Speaking about music, I recently found someone in my class who plays in a band. At the moment he has two members and I asked if I could jam with them. So I may be getting back into the band scene. I hope so, I do miss playing with others.

A Whole New Horror

It's been a while. I've been busy with class projects and the schedule is really aggressive. I don't mind it much, it's much more of a challenge than anything.

Not doing too well with the time management, but I think I can pull through.

I update you today to bring you news of a new horror novel I'm starting.

Why?

Because I can. Just kidding. Because it's October, which is my favourite month, and you know what that means candy, costumes, spooks, and horrors. Well, yes, Sin7 is still in progress and so is Aiden's Story but I need a horror that doesn't exploit my expertise in gory and imaginative deaths. I want to explore the psychological aspect of horror. The horror that messes with your mind and scares you because it can happen yet at the same time seems far fetched. 

So, I'm very proud to present "Death Petal."

Death Petal is a story about a man, referred to as Mr. Hart (Don't worry it's not me, my character plays a support of a support character in this), who woke up in a hospital not knowing why he's there, what happened that caused him to be there, why he's seeing such grotesque creatures in flashes and even who he is. 

The story builds up a lot of suspense and draws you in with constant paranoia Mr. Hart endures. So far, there's only three or so chapters. As to why it's called Death Petal, that requires a little knowledge of  flowers. As you read the story you'll notice some things reoccurring and some things that are a bit random or sporadic. All will be explained in time, like the title.

More Updates

What do you get when you combine my mind, my brother's mind, cute and twisted all together? 

Hart Designs ...designs!

My brother is finishing up Parasidic's Hummingbird piece and will be up on the Hart Design Shop soon. So stay tuned people, the hummingbird of death will be buzzing your way soon to say "Hi."

PLAY is on the shop for good. The Invert was changed to full inverted model of PLAY. So what's RED is BLUE, and what's white is now black. Cool effect, a friend told me to do it cause he wanted it on a Black shirt, so I said "Ehhhhhhh, okay."

Forget Me Not piece is under way. The Marky Raccoon has been outlined and will be detailed soon. It's cute too. They'll all be plushies.
